No “Bunny” Does Kids Costumes Like Tom Arma

February is coming to a close and soon Easter will be upon us – 25 more days to be exact!  I love Easter.  Just knowing winter is over and spring has finally arrived is enough reason for me.  Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing the first few snow falls and how pretty everything looks blanketed in that beautiful white snow, then come February I am so over it!  As I get older the thought of becoming a Florida “snowbird” gets more and more appealing to me.  However, with my youngest just finishing pre-school I think my snowbird days are pretty much wishful thinking at this point!

Speaking of pre-school age, have you seen the Tom Arma Bunny Costume for infants and toddlers yet?  It is absolutely adorable made from soft plush with faux fur and lined with the softest fleece.  I couldn’t order mine fast enough!  Plus all the Tom Arma costumes come with an animal package insert ”critter facts” from the National Wildlife Federation so you and your child can learn more about how to promote conservation awarenss for the animal you’re portraying with your costume.  So when you order the Tom Arma Bunny costume, you’ll receive “critter facts” about the Snowshoe Hare.

The entire Tom Arma costume line is available exclusively from Halloween Express.  Oh, I almost forgot … check out the 2008 Tom Arma Baby & Toddler of the Year Photo Contest.   Enter your baby or toddler into the contest and you could win $500 (plus a bunch of other cool stuff!)

Here Comes Peter Cottontail

This year Easter will be celebrated two weeks earlier than it was last year.  It’s on Sunday, March 23 while last year it was on April 8th.  For some reason I always liked celebrating Easter in the month of April - March just seems so early to me.  Oh well, I’m hoping the weather is nice so that all those pretty Easter dresses and bonnets can be worn without the off chance of an unwanted snowfall.

Halloween Express is the place to go for all your Easter costumes.  If your Easter Bunny needs to be big, tall, short, little, old or young you’ve come to the right place!  If you haven’t seen our Tom Arma children’s Easter costumes you are really missing out on some of the most adorable costumes ever.  The bunny, sheep, flamingo and flower are just some of the great costumes for your little ones this Easter.

Every year in our neighborhood on the Saturday before Easter we have all the children dress up in their Easter best and walk around with their Easter baskets to each house for Easter eggs and candy.  Then of course we have the big Easter Egg hunt for all the different ages.  When my son, Caden was little he always hated having to put on his Easter outfit, so one year I decided to let him pick out a costume to wear that had an Easter theme.  He loved it!  Of course we still had to go round and round when I told him he couldn’t wear the yellow Peeps Costume to church, but he did wear it everywhere else that year.  If your family, friends or neighborhood is having an Easter party it’s the perfect time to put your infant or toddler in one of our great costumes.  Your children will love it and so will you!

Super Bowl Sunday

Are you ready for some football?!  This Sunday, February 3 my husband will be like millions of other football fans, sitting in front of our tv, a buffalo wing in one hand and a beer in the other watching Super Bowl XLII between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants.  If you love football, there is no better way to spend Sunday!  I do enjoy watching football games, especially if my favorite team is playing (which by the way didn’t happen this year).  But, no matter what teams are playing in the Super Bowl it’s one game that everyone watches.  I’ll admit though, my favorite part of the Super Bowl is watching the commercials!  I love them!  I’m looking forward to seeing what the big advertisers come up with this year.  I think the Budweiser commercials are my favorite!  This year it’s not going to be too hard actually watching the game though because as every female out there knows – it’s not hard on the eyes to watch Tom Brady and Eli Manning play football!

The traditional Super Bowl Party is probably the least fussy, most laid-back party you can host all year.  So there is no point in holding anything back! Go all out and serve everyone’s favorite high fat, finger-licking snack foods. After all, your television set is the focal point, not the food. Wings, subs, pizza and chili are just some of the easily prepared (or even easier – ordered) foods that people love to eat at Super Bowl party’s.  Throw a basket of chips or pretzels around and your set.  Although don’t forget you have to have plenty of beer to wash down all that food.

I don’t have a favorite in Sunday’s big game which will make it easy for me to sit back relax and enjoy the festivities.  Here’s to Super Bowl XLII!!

Oh, and don’t forget … Tuesday is FAT TUESDAY.  You still have time to get that Mardi Gras mask online!

Holidays, Holidays and More Holidays

Wow I can’t believe all the holidays that are coming up in the next two months!

Along with those dates we have Groundhog Day on February 2, Mardis Gras on February 5, Ash Wednesday on February 6,  Palm Sunday on March 16, Good Friday on March 21 and one of my favorite dates – March 20, first official day of Spring!  To me that date can’t come fast enough!  It’s been a really cold winter this year and I’m so ready for some Spring weather.

If you’re reading my blog you’re obviously on the Halloween Express website.  Take a minute to check it out – there’s something for everyone!  We have costumes and accessories for every holiday that’s coming up as well as school plays, dance recitals, theme party’s or if you just get the urge to put on a costume and have fun every once in a while.  We’ve got what you’re looking for!

Have you been naughty or nice?

We’re well on our way into December and Christmas Day will be here before you know it.  Everyone is running around getting their shopping done and taking their children to see Santa at the mall.  In the past I was one of those moms that got my kids all dressed up and waited in the line for hours at the mall to see Santa.  Then it never failed that one of them would get antsy in line or have to go to the bathroom or when we would finally make it up to see Santa my youngest, Olivia would have a meltdown! So finally last year my husband decided to have a good friend of his dress up as Santa (in full Santa gear) and come over to our house to surprise the kids.  They loved it!  Even Olivia found Santa fascinating.  I think it was because she was in her own home and felt safe knowing that Santa wouldn’t just up and run off with her. At Halloween Express we have every imaginable style and size of Santa costume you need.  From velour and velvet to a premium plush, we have them all.  You might want to even take it a step further and add a Mrs. Claus costume.  We have the traditional Mrs. Claus with the long red velvet dress trimmed in faux rabbit fur with white satin apron. Or you could take it in the complete opposite direction (although hopefully not around kids) and get the Sexy Santa Helper costume that I’m sure Santa would appreciate!  If that’s more your “cup of tea” then check out all our Santa helper costumes! They definitely ask the question, “Have you been naughty or nice?”
