It’s Mardi Gras Time – Let The Parties Begin!

Rupert Everett

It’s that time of year again when New Orleans comes alive with Mardi Gras!  This year Carnival started on January 6th, but the heaviest partying is still to come and will take place the few days before Fat Tuesday, March 8th.

With a Mardi Gras costume you can bet you’ll be the hit of the party.  The more sequins and feathers the better.  To make your party one to remember decorate in Mardi Gras colors of purple, green and gold.

Us everyday folk aren’t the only jesters to partake in a little Mardi Gras fun, even the Hollywood celebrities love Carnival!

Happy New Year

Well we made it through the Christmas holiday and now we’re heading straight into the biggest party holiday of the year, New Years Eve! Everybody is making plans for which parties to go to, which dinners to attend and which friends you want to spend the last day of the year with. If you’re past that “party” all night stage then sitting at home with a nice bottle of wine watching the ball drop on tv is the perfect place for you. However, there’s nothing like a wild and crazy costume party on New Year’s Eve to say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new year with family and friends!

Ring in the new year dressed as your favorite Hollywood star, a character from your favortie movie or perhaps even a superhero. The possibilities are endless! Make a political statement and dress up as a president (past or present). There’s plenty of crazy politicians out there that you could dress up as. Take the humorous route and portray a famous sports figure that made headlines this year…Tiger Woods instantly comes to mind!

Be the life of the party and try out a sexy costume from Halloween Express! Make the guys notice and the girls jealous by making this a New Year’s Eve party to remember! And don’t forget the accessories…never underestimate the power of a mask and cape!

Give Your Graduate a Hawaiian Luau Party!

Big Kahuna Adult Costume

It’s that time of year again when parents everywhere are planning graduation parties for their high school or college graduate!

The easiet way to plan a graduation party is to go with a specific theme in mind. The most popular is the Hawaiian Luau theme. In Hawaii, a luau is a gathering of family and friends to enjoy good food, good company, and good times; sounds like the perfect graduation party to me! There are so many tropical decorations to choose from that you should have no problem making your guests feel like they are truly partying in the tropics. Have the party goers where Hawaiian shirts and grass hula skirts.  As they arrive place a flowered lei around their neck.

Big Kahuna Adult CostumeOf course no Hawaiian Luau party would be complete without tiki lights, inflatable palm trees and the sounds of tropical Island music playing.  Games involving hula hoops are always fun and don’t forget the infamous “how low can you go” limbo contest.  For food, don’t forget the roasted pig!

And if you have a boy that’s graduating from high school or college, have him greet the party-goers in full regalia dressed as the Big Kahuna!  Everyone will love it and his party will be one to remember!
